hey guys welcome back to healthy grocery
girl I'm made of Roosevelt your
registered dietician it is our fall
recipe series I'm so excited this was
such a hit last year and so we decided
to just continue and make this an annual
tradition
so all this month you can look forward
to back-to-school and fall inspired
recipes and this week we're starting
with breakfast week so I'm so excited to
share with you guys three easy and
delicious overnight out recipes
in today's video I'm going to be sharing
with you how to make spiced chai peanut
butter and jelly and banana nut
overnight oats the base for all three of
these recipes is exactly the same which
makes it very easy you're going to need
rolled oats non-dairy milk and chia
seeds the correct serving size per
person is half a cup of dry rolled oats
half a cup of liquid water non-dairy
milk beverage and half a tablespoon of
chia seeds now I'm making six servings
so I've just multiplied my ingredients
so that it works out that way so we have
our oats I'm going to add in our
non-dairy milk beverage here I'm just
using almond milk hemp milk was also
really great I find that hemp milk has
just a little bit more protein per
serving than the other non-dairy milks
but head milk and almond milk work great
too then we'll add in our chia seeds and
just give it a good stir so now that
this has been created I will just set it
aside and the first overnight out I'm
going to share with you how to make is
our spiced chai this is so delicious
okay so what I like to do is make a
spiced chai blend and just keep this on
hand in the pantry it's really great for
making spiced chai tea lattes you can
add this into regular hot oatmeal or of
course like we're doing put it into your
overnight oats to make your chai spice
blend 1 tablespoon of cardamom
1/2 a tablespoon of nutmeg 1 tablespoon
of
in half a tablespoon of ground cloves
and one tablespoon of ginger then we're
just going to dump all of the spices
into a container I like to use mason
jars but you can use any container that
you have on hand
and then just stir or give it a shake
together and that's it that's how you
make a really simple and easy Thai spice
blend mmm this smells great then we'll
just add our overnight batter into 8
ounce mason jars it's going to look a
little soupy but don't worry about that
it's going to set up overnight
then we'll add 1 teaspoon of chive
iceland per person and stir it together
and that's it then we're just going to
top with some almonds for a little extra
protein add on the lid and then we'll
let these set in the fridge overnight
next I'm going to share with you guys
how to make my peanut butter and jelly
overnight oats now to make your jam or
jelly it's really simple you're going to
need some strawberries 3 cups 2
tablespoons of water and 1 heaping
tablespoon of chia seeds you're also
going to need some natural organic
peanut butter and then some organic
peanuts here I like to use these as a
topping and then a jar to make your to
put your jam or jelly in and the blender
so what you're going to do is you're
going to add your to make your jam add
your strawberries then add in your water
and then we'll add in the chia seeds
then we're going to blend on high until
it's nice and creamy so we've made our
strawberry jelly I'm just going to add
it into a jar and the key with this
jelly is you do want to let it set up in
the fridge overnight as well we have two
more containers and we're going to add
in some more of our overnight oats then
we're going to add one tablespoon of
natural peanut butter per serving I like
to mix the peanut butter right into the
overnight
oat batter then we'll place our
overnight oats in the fridge and they'll
be ready in the morning and what also
will be ready in the morning is our
strawberry jelly which is technically a
because I left in the seeds but that's
okay we're then going to add just a big
tablespoon of that strawberry jelly
right on top of our overnight oats and
you have just delicious peanut butter
and jelly overnight oats our last recipe
is a banana mat overnight oh and this is
a really simple recipe to make you're
going to need your overnight bag one
ripe banana half a teaspoon of vanilla
extract and some walnuts we've added our
overnight oats into our mason jars then
we're just going to divide our vanilla
extract into each
and give it a good stir together the
vanilla extract is a really nice touch
with these banana net overnight notes
lastly we're just going to add a few
slices of banana on top and then we'll
add some of our walnuts in the morning
your recipes will look like this spiced
chai overnight oats peanut butter and
jelly overnight oats banana net
overnight oats I hope you guys enjoyed
