hey guys it's Danny and today I am going
to be sharing four clean and delicious
green smoothie recipes now the first two
are going to be a little bit more
friendly a little sweeter a little more
perfect for a green smoothie beginner
shall we say and the second two are
going to be a little bit more intense
they're going to be richer and greens
and a little more on the savory side but
still delicious so for my starter
smoothies I'm going to be doing my
tropical coconut greens and my peanut
butter and jelly protein greens and then
for the more advanced green smoothie
drinkers there's going to be the
immunity green smoothie and the green
refresher can I please get a big thumbs
up for green smoothie variety now for
all of these smoothie recipes you are
going to need some type of blender
ideally a high-powered blender is your
best bet because it really pulverizes
the greens and you don't end up with
little bits of greens in your smoothie
but really you can make any blender that
you have work I am using the Vitamix
5200 today which I really like and I'm
only telling you guys because usually
after the video so many of you guys
asked me which blender I'm using so
that's what I'm using and I leave a link
down in the description box below if you
want to check it out and one last note
before we get started I chose four
different greens one for each smoothie
so we're going to be doing spinach kale
romaine and Swiss chard and I did that
to show you the variety of greens that
you can use but do know that all of the
greens are totally interchangeable and
you can just pick the one you like the
best and use it for any of the four
recipes I'm showing it so first up is
our tropical coconut green smoothie so
into the blender I've got one navel
orange that I've peeled pitted and then
roughly chopped up along with a cup of
baby spinach 1/2 a cup of coconut milk
which I'm using right from the can I am
using the full fat variety
but if you wanted to you could certainly
use the layer variety a 1/2 a cup of
frozen pineapple 1/2 a frozen banana
which is one of my personal favorite
ways to keep smooth
really rich and creamy and then just a
couple of ice cubes pop the lid on and
blend it up until it is thick and free
this combo is super fresh and light and
delicious and it happens to be my
personal favorite at the moment next up
is my PB&J protein green now this
smoothie gets a double dose of protein
because it uses both vanilla protein
powder and some peanut butter so into
the blender goes one cup of Swiss chard
now I've washed stemmed and given that a
rough chop you're probably going to need
two to three liters and I've got a cup
of frozen strawberries you could also do
raspberries or blackberries this is
going to be like the jelly in the
smoothie 1 tablespoon of all-natural
peanut butter and three-quarters of a
cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk
add a scoop of your favorite vanilla
protein powder pop on the lid and a
letter blend this one is super rich and
creamy and satisfying and the
combination of the peanut butter and
strawberries and the protein powder you
will never even be able to detect that
you've got any Swiss chard in there but
to do moving on to our more savory
smoothies next up is the immunity greens
now this is a recipe that I got right
from this book here it's called best
green drinks ever by Katrin Van Wyck and
I really love this book it's ideal if
you are trying to work more green juices
or more green smoothies into your life
because she has so many tips and recipes
and ingredient insights that I find
myself turning to this book as a
resource all the time so if you're
interested in checking it out I will
leave it down in the description box
below I'll leave you a link okay so into
our blender goes half of a green apple
and that's going to add just a little
bit of sweetness to the smoothie without
adding tons of added sugars then I've
got three leaves of romaine lettuce
which is very refreshing and full of
water 1/4 of cucumber 1/4 of an avocado
which is going to help keep the smoothie
nice and creamy without
using extra fruit half a teaspoon of
fresh ginger powerful immunity booster
half a cup of parsley leaves super
cleansing and 3/4 cups of coconut water
which personally I find to be really
hydrating and refreshing pop the lid on
and a letter risk a smoothie like this
is a great way to start the day
especially as the warmer weather rolls
in but do know this one is kind of like
a drink in a salad like a green juice
with the fiber and last but not least
I've got the green refresher so in to
live lender goes one cup of kale that
has been stemmed and chopped now I'm
using acrylic kale but you could use any
type of kale that you have including
baby kale half of a pear one stalk of
celery half of a cup of frozen mango you
could also do fresh mango but I do find
that the frozen really helps to get the
smoothie rich and creamy and as you can
tell rich and creamy is very important
to me when I come to the smoothie then
we have 10 leaves of fresh mint and guys
this is the ingredient that really makes
all the difference so do not skimp on
the fresh mint pop in a couple of ice
cubes
along with 3/4 cups of water then get
your lid on and blend it all together
you're going to have this beautiful
light fresh green smoothie that is super
nourishing and insanely delicious so now
I want to hear from you
which of these four smoothies do you
think you're going to try first come on

Cheers a half a frozen banana 1/4 of an
avocado this one is kind of like a drink
in a salad like agreeing juice with the
fiber drinking a salad drinkin a salad
drinking a salad a half a frozen banana
